No longer in production, Oldsmobile was an American auto manufacturer founded by Ransom E. Olds in 1897. Over the course of 107 years, Oldsmobile manufactured 35.2 million cars, with at least 14 million being built in their Lansing, Michigan factory alone. Oldsmobile is the third oldest vehicle manufacturer in the world, just behind Daimler and Peugeot. The company saw varying degrees of success throughout its lifespan, with extraordinary success in the 1980s, with vehicles such as the Cutlass Supreme and the Cutlass Sierra. Notable models from the 1990s include the mid-size Intrigue, and the compact Alero sport sedan. Oldsmobile also produced a minivan from 1990-2004 called the Silhouette.
