Thanks to Lincoln, Ford has the right to claim that they are responsible for the last true American luxury car in production, the Lincoln Town Car. Complete with rear- drive, V8 engine, full frame, and a generous amount of chrome on the exterior with tasteful ersatz maple on the inside. The original was the basis for the first stretch limousine. Aside from the classic Town Car, Lincoln also produces the entry-level (and significantly less popular) Zephyr, along with the Aviator. Lincoln is also responsible for the robust Navigator, considered the closest competitor of the Cadillac Escalade.
